Former world no.1 Tiger Woods will make his comeback from a minor knee injury at the Players Championship in Sawgrass.

Woods, 35, missed this week's Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow after suffering minor ligament and tendon injuries at the US Masters.

Last year, a neck injury saw Woods retire six holes into the final round at the Tournament Players Club.

But the 14-time major winner, who is without a professional victory since November 2009, has confirmed he will be back in action in the tournament, which runs from May 12-15.

"Looking forward to the competition next week, just committed to the Players," Woods posted on Twitter.
