Warren tastes Made in Denmark success

The 33-year-old shared the lead with the Welshman going into the final day's play in Aalborg, having defied blustery conditions to shoot 66 on Saturday.

Having moved joint top with Dredge going into the final round, Warren shot a four-under 68 on Sunday to finish two shots clear and pick up his third European Tour title.

Phillip Archer's 69 was enough to move him up two places to third with Thomas Bjorn, Oliver Fisher and Eddie Pepperell tying for fourth having also finished three under.

Halfway leader Dredge had already seen his advantage cut by Warren on Saturday and the 41-year-old made life difficult for himself in his final round - bogeying two of his first four holes.

Birdies at the third and eighth helped him reach the turn at just one over but even an impressive back nine was not enough to keep pace with Warren.

Warren was two under after four holes and birdied the eighth for the third time in the tournament to give himself a solid foundation.

While Dredge piled on the pressure after the turn, Warren remained flawless and led by three with two to play before both frontrunners finished the final hole one over.

It ensured Warren of his first Tour title since 2006, while Archer finished three shots off Dredge, with Bjorn the highest ranked of the home favourites.

Fellow Dane Lasse Jensen surged 15 places to tied seventh with one of the rounds of the day - his 67 including seven birdies.
