Tiger Woods' mood going downhill as score rises; injury or sour grapes?

Was this the new Tiger?  Was he so confident in his game that his attitude was a clear reflection of that?

Sure, he got emotional when he spoke of the weekend. One that had been tough with the anniversary of his Dad's death, and as he said, "the thing that happened Sunday" — aka the so-called mutual breakup with Lindsay Vonn. "I've not slept in three days", Woods told the media.

Despite his personal life, though, Woods was very upbeat about his game, saying he had "worked his ass off" to get his game back.

But as the saying goes, all good things come to an end. Even good moods and good media relations.

After finishing Saturday's third round with a three-over 75, Woods refused to stop and talk with the media after he signed his scorecard.

There might have been a reason Woods seemed less friendly. Sean Martin raised the question as to whether Woods was hurt.

Brendan Porath then tweeted a picture that shows a very awkward finish by Woods after his second shot at 18, which might have resulted in an injury.

Of course, social media responded by immediately bringing up the now famous "non-activated glutes" injury Tiger had complained about earlier this year.

Injured glutes or not, Tiger is notorious for going straight to his car after a bad round. So maybe nothing is wrong. As of this writing the only thing injured —that we know of — is Woods’ ego after he finished in a tie for 68th. Hopefully he will play Sunday and avoid the dreaded WD.
