The Swede claimed the DP World Tour Championship by two strokes from Rory McIlroy, Victor Dubuisson and Justin Rose on Sunday - lifting him to second place in the Race to Dubai.

McIlroy had already secured that honour for himself and remains number one in the world rankings following the conclusion of the season-ending tournament at Jumeirah Golf Estates.

Stenson's jump saw Adam Scott and Bubba Watson fall to third and fourth respectively, while Sergio Garcia leapfrogged Jim Furyk into fifth.

Dubuisson rose five places into 17th after a strong showing at the weekend, and Ryder Cup team-mate Jamie Donaldson - fourth in the Race to Dubai - moved 23rd.

Japan's Hideki Matsuyama, meanwhile, went up four places to 16th following his victory at the Dunlop Phoenix.
