Poulter hopes Norman advice will put things right

The Englishman was unable to force a play-off on Sunday when he failed to hole a putt from six feet at the 18th, ensuring American Brooks Koepka triumphed in Antalya.

Norman tweeted Poulter to inform him that he had spotted something in his putting that could be "easily fix" and the 38-year-old welcomed the opportunity to benefit from the legendary Australian's words of wisdom ahead of the season-ending DP World Tour Championship this week.

The world number 26 said on Wednesday: "I spoke to Greg.

"I am not telling you [what he said], because I don't know if they are going to work. I know Greg really well, it was really nice of him to reach out. He noticed a few things.

"I'd like to review the coverage just to see if his observations were my observations as well.

"I have worked hard on my putting in the last couple of weeks and I feel I have made good inroads, obviously a couple of putts have slid past."

Poulter finished runner-up to Henrik Stenson in Dubai last year and is eager to iron out deficiencies on the green ahead of this week's lucrative tournament.

"I would like to try and review them myself, as well as having an opinion from Greg and I would respect his opinion," he added.

"I will take on board what he said and I will be on the putting green soon to hit some putts and see if what he said is right or wrong."
