Australian Wade Ormsby was one of 81 golfers to successfully qualify for the final stage of the European Tour's Q-School after the four second stage tournaments concluded in Spain on Monday.

Ormsby carded a brilliant five-under-par round of 67 to hold his place inside the top 20 at the event at Costa Ballena Ocean Club.

He finished in a tie for ninth place at minus 11, five shots behind joint-winners Guillaume Cambis of France and England's Luke Goddard.

The 20th and final place was taken by American Trent Leon, who saw off England-s John E Morgan in a sudden death play-off after both men had finished on eight under par.

Sweden's Joakim Lagergren continued his dominance at El Valle Golf Resort with a closing round of 69 to finish seven shots clear of his closest rivals.

The Scottish duo of Callum Macaulay and Alan McLean finished in a tie for second place on 11 under par after shooting respective rounds of 71 and 69.

Canadian Andrew Parr was the final man to qualify from that event after prevailing, along with Englishmen Jonathan Caldwell and Swede Mattias Eliasson, in a four-man play-off against Spaniard Jordi Garcia Pinto.

Dutchman Tim Sluiter remains on course to regain his European Tour card after breezing through the event at Las Colinas Golf and Country Club.

Sluiter finished two shots clear of England's Ben Evans and Denmark's Morten Orum Madsen at 16 under.

The final three places were taken by South African Warren Abery, Frenchman Baptiste Chapellan and England's Paul Dwyer, who saw off Francis McGuirck in a play-off after all four players had finished on three under par.

Italian Andrea Perrino and South Africa's Allan Versfeld led 20 successful qualifiers from the event at La Manga Club, in Spain.

Perrino and Versfeld both finished on 15 under par with England's Graeme A Clark and Spaniard Alfredo Garcia-Heredia a further two and three shots back respectively.

Seven players battled it out for the final four places after finishing on seven under par with Swede Steven Jeppesen, Spaniard Adrian Otaegui, England's James Robinson and Lukas Tintera of the Czech Republic prevailing in the play-off.

The 81 players who progressed from the Second Stage will now join the 75 exempt players for the six-round Final Stage, which starts on Thursday at PGA Catalunya Resort in Girona, Spain.
