Swede Peter Hanson celebrated his first win in over two years at the KLM Open in the Netherlands on Sunday.

The 34-year-old won the event in Hilversum by two strokes thanks to a last-hole eagle that saw him edge Scotsman Richie Ramsay and Spaniard Pablo Larrazabal for the title.

Scotland's Scott Jamieson finished in outright fourth, three shots off the pace.

The day belonged to Hanson though, who entered the final round with efforts of 66, 66 and 67 from his three previous rounds at the Hilversumsche Golf Club.

He made just three bogeys in his 54 holes of previous golf and he was calm and composed on the front nine, shooting eight pars and a birdie on the sixth.

It was on the back nine that Hanson charged up the leaderboard, although a birdie on the 12th was followed by two consecutive bogeys as he lost his momentum.

Hanson quickly responded with a birdie on the 15th before producing a sublime eagle on the last to clinch the title, ending the tournament with an overall score of 14 under.

Ramsay also finished with a score of three-under 67 for the day, with his barnstorming finish - he shot three birdies from the final four holes - not enough to catch the winner.

Larrazabal was more disappointing, hitting three birdies and three bogeys in an even-par 70.

Jamieson carded three bogeys on the front-nine in a final-day 71 while Sweden's Henrik Stenson, Englishman Graeme Storm and Spaniard Gonzalo Fdez-Castano finished in a tie for fifth, five shots off the pace.

Frenchman Gregory Bourdy, Denmark's Anders Hansen, South African Richard Sterne and Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts were a further shot back in a tie for eighth.

German Martin Kaymer tied for 21st at five under, while defending champion Simon Dyson of England - who has won the event three times - tied for 46th, 14 shots off the pace.
