Australian duo David Gleeson and Gavin Flint are five shots off the pace after the opening round of the Yeangder Tournament Players Championship in Singapore.

The pair started with two-under par rounds of 70, to be lying in a share of 12th place behind outright leader Angelo Que.

The Filipino golfer carded seven birdies without a blemish in his opening round to open up a one-stroke lead over American Jason Knutzon and India's Gaganejeet Bhullar, while Taiwan's Lin Wen-tang is a further stroke adrift in outright fourth.

Of the other Australians competing, Marcus Both, Tim Stewart and Darren Beck are all one under in equal 20th, while compatriots Unho Park and Kunal Bhasin are another shot back after shooting 72's.
