The U.S. Open, set to be held at Chambers Bay in June, hasn't had a lot of positives leading into the event.

For the better part of the year, players and people around the tour have complained about the course's extreme set-up. Now, less than a month before the tournament is set to tee off, the Fox Sports broadcasting team is struggling to get tournament-ready.

"Quite frankly, we weren't very good," Brad Faxon said, via Global Golf Post, of the broadcast team's dress rehearsal. "We had a serious come-to-Jesus meeting. Individually and collectively, we knew we had to get better."

Such a negative performance, so close to the date when the bright lights come on, could have demoralized the team, but Fox Sports' coordinating producer, Mike Loomis, calmed everyone down and started getting everyone prepared for the job at hand, according to the Global Golf Post report.

"There is already great chemistry with this group," Loomis said. "Everyone gets along and you get the sense they genuinely like each other."

Time will tell if the colorful group of Joe Buck, ex-tour pros Faxon and Greg Norman, and Holly Sonders can deliver on the big stage.
