Clark pulls out of Masters with elbow injury

South African Tim Clark will miss next week's Masters as he continues to struggle with an elbow problem.

Clark finished runner-up to Phil Mickelson in 2006 at Augusta, but he will not contend for the green jacket at this year's tournament.

Ranked 56th in the world, Clark has not played since the Sony Open in Hawaii back in January.

The PGA Tour confirmed that Clark's agent, Thomas Park, had told them that his client's elbow was feeling better but that the 39-year-old had not had sufficient time to prepare for the first major of the year.
