Wind aids Kirk

his first two years have been something of a battle, other than his second placing in Knoxville and four other top-25 finishes, and while he can't explain 2009 which he described as the 'worst year' he's had for some time, things turned late last year.
Not one who has taken the traditional path as far as coaching goes, preferring to work occasionally with Davis Love's brother Mike, who 'isn't even actually a teacher', Kirk hopes that things have taken a turn for the better after he regained his Nationwide Tour card at the qualifying school last year.
Back at Moonah for a second time, Kirk wasn't sure how he'd handle the pressure of the position he has put himself in but will just try and keep it simple.
"I know that it's going to be tough to follow up a round like I had today," Kirk said.
"I doubt I'll be putting quite as well as I was today (and) I probably won't hit it quite as flush as I did today, so I'm just going to be as patient as I can and try to hit as many great shots as I can and make as many putts as I can. Beyond that I'm not too worried about it I guess."
