Female football stars including USA goalkeeper Hope Solo, USA striker Alex Morgan and England captain Steph Houghton will feature in the game with 12 international women's teams to be added.

Only men's football teams have featured in the world's most popular football game since its inception in 1993.

Houghton described the historic inclusion of women's football as a proud moment.
"To be one of the first female players included is something we'll always be able to look back on," Houghton said.
"Hopefully it will help raise the profile of the women's game even further."

The game which is due for North American release from 22 September 2015 onwards, will feature the women’s national squads of Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, and the United States of America.
