Michael Arroyo received a just straight red for a very dangerous tackle on Cristhian Lagos, but what the referee didn't see was a brutal kick to the face Lagos received by Paolo Goltz as he was rolling on the ground.
Therefore Arroyo was justly expelled, but Goltz went completely unpunished.
Lagos on the other hand managed to continue playing until the 78th minute, after receiving swift medical attention, but later passed out whilst in hospital being checked upon.
The game ended with a 3-0 win for the home team, Herediano.
