The 26-year-old Brazilian, who had opened the scoring after only six minutes, tried to fool the opposition keeper by halting his run midway through, but seemed to just confuse himself as he sent the ball flying high over the bar.
This is the first season in China for Guto, who joined Chongqing Lifan from Brazilian club Goias and has just scored one goal in his first eight league appearances.
