Tevez only wants Boca

Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez said that he does not want to return to England and only wants to join boyhood club Boca Juniors.

The 27-year-old has been out of favour with manager Roberto Mancini this season, and has not featured for the team since allegedly refusing to come on as a substitute against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League in September.

AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain, as well as Brazilian Serie A champions Corinthians, have all been heavily linked with the forward, but the Argentine said he had his heart set on a return to his homeland.

"I don't care if I have to take a wage cut. I'm tired of travelling and going back and forth. I'm not going back to England," Tevez told Gente.

"(I want to) start the pre-season with Boca and play the Copa Libertadores with them."

Despite Tevez's intentions to play for Boca, the club have already gone on record stating they would not be able to afford the forward, who is valued at about 40 million euros.

The Argentine international started his professional career at Boca in 2001, before leaving the club just over three years later to join Corinthians in a deal worth 15m euros.
