Kilmarnock have added insult to Dunfermline Athletic's injury, defeating the relegated club 2-1 in their last Scottish Premier League game.

Dunfermline were on track to leave the SPL on a high note with just their second home win of the season before Kilmarnock scored two goals in the last five minutes to claim victory on Saturday.

Paul Willis gave the home side the lead after 20 minutes when he tapped home Liam Buchanan's headed pass.

But Kilmarnock ruined Dunfermline's chances of a sixth victory of the season thanks to Liam Kelly's long-range strike in the 86th minute and a composed finish from 19-year-old Jude Winchester three minutes later.

The result means Dunfermline finish the season with 25 points.

They will now be relegated to the Scottish First Division for the 2012/13 season, while Kilmarnock finish in seventh with 47 points.

Elsewhere, Inverness Caledonian Thistle scored two second-half goals to defeat Hibernian 2-0.

Hibernian played a second-string side in preparation for the Scottish Cup final on May 19, when they will play fellow Edinburgh club Hearts.

Greg Tansey gave Inverness the lead in the 62nd minute and then a penalty from Jonathan Hayes nine minutes later sealed victory for the home side.

Inverness end the season in 10th position with 39 points, six points ahead of Hibernian.

In the other SPL result on Saturday, Aberdeen were held to a 0-0 draw with St Mirren.

That result means St Mirren (43 points) finish in eighth position on the SPL table, just above ninth-placed Aberdeen with 41 points.
