Sneijder: Dutch mole leaked tactics

Netherlands playmaker Wesley Sneijder has claimed a mole in the Dutch camp was the reason for their early Euro 2012 exit.

Sneijder relinquished coach Bert van Marwijk of all blame following the nation's group-stage elimination in Poland and Ukraine, and put it on one of his team-mates for selling them out.

After the Netherlands suffered their worst showing in history in an international finals event, many had called for Van Marwijk to be relieved of his duties, but Sneijder has given his coach his full support despite the team recording zero points from three games in Group B.

"We can't blame the coach for this, he did a great job for us in the last four years," Sneijder told reporters.

"But there are some issues in the squad that have to be solved first, like the player who is leaking to the press our tactical plans before matches."

The Dutch FA have also declared their full support for Van Marwijk, who led the Netherlands to the World Cup final in 2010, but reports in his home country suggest that his future remains in the balance.
