Without referring specifically to rumours Rooney allegedly used prostitutes during their time together, Coleen Rooney revealed she had been hurt in the past by her partner's behaviour.
Among the many allegations over the years, Rooney reportedly paid for sex with a grandma dressed in a catsuit and on another occasion joined in a threesome with two escorts while Coleen was pregnant.
Talking to former England captain Gary Lineker on BBC documentary Rooney – The Man Behind the Goals, Coleen opened up about the striker's colourful past and how it had impacted her life.
"He was young and he (did) some stupid things, like most young lads," she said.
"But obviously Wayne is Wayne Rooney so he got a lot of press over it (and) everyone got to find out what he was doing and when he was doing it.
"There are things, petty things, that make me angry and I think 'why do it because you know it’s going to blow up'?
"It's part of growing up in the public eye and there are some things you do and never do again."
Asked if she was 'angry and upset' by her husband's past behaviour, Coleen responded: "Yeah, obviously."
Mrs Rooney also revealed how one of the world's richest sportsman proposed to her in a petrol station and later shared a corned-beef hash at her parents to celebrate the occasion.
