GK: Robert Green (QPR)

The veteran goalkeeper made the most saves (6) of the weekend as QPR kept a clean sheet against Sunderland after being thumped by Spurs the week before.

RB: Angel Rangel (SWA)

While limiting the influence of West Brom captain Chris Brunt, the Spaniard also completed 90 percent of his passes as Swansea kept their second consecutive clean sheet.

CB: Dejan Lovren (LIV)

The ex-Southampton defender made the most last-man tackles (2) of the weekend and led the defence to a clean sheet at White Hart Lane against Spurs.

CB: Jordi Amat (SWA)

Amat marshalled the Swansea defence to their second shutout in a row and completed the most successful passes (60) in his own half for the round.

LB: Alberto Moreno (LIV)

Playing only his second Premier League game, Moreno scored a brillant solo goal while also marking the in-form Nacer Chadli out of the game.

RM: Nathan Dyer (SWA)

The elusive winger scored a well-taken brace from two Gylfi Sigurdsson assists to put himself in frame for future England selection.

CM: Aaron Ramsey (ARS)

The sheer workrate of the Ramsey earns his spot in the team with the Welshman completing 83 passes in the opposition half and 43 in the final third.

LM: Morgan Schneiderlin (SOU)

You wouldn't have thought the Saints struggle for goals would be fixed by their French defensive midfielder's double. Schneiderlin also made the joint most tackles (6) for the round.

RF: Kevin Mirallas (EVE)

The Belgian scored a crucial header to get his side back into the contest on the stroke of half time and joined Diego Costa in having six shots on target.

CF: Diego Costa (CHE)

Despite being involved in numerous heated incidents, the poacher showed his class by scoring a superbly taken double while also having the equal-most amount of shots on target (6) for the weekend.

LF: Andreas Weimann (AVL)

Weimann picked up a goal and an assist as Aston Villa's quality start to the season to the continued - adding to his winner on matchday one against Stoke City.
