Massimo Luongo voted in top 10 of non-EPL players

Luongo came in at ninth on the list of the best players in the lower leagues in England as a result of his superb season for League One high-flyers Swindon Town.

The 22-year-old has produced a string of exceptional performances for the Robins, scoring a number of important goals which has the club in sight of promotion to the English Championship.

It’s come either side of a breakout tournament for the Socceroos at January’s Asian Cup, where he scored in the 2-1 final win over Korea Republic and was named player of the tournament.

Luongo, who started his professional career at EPL club Tottenham, is on the radar of a host of big clubs and this latest acknowledgement underlines the growing vibe about him in the UK.
