Substitute Pierre Webo scored the winner as Mallorca climbed to seventh in La Liga with a 2-1 win at home to Levante.

The visitors held the half-time lead thanks to Christian Curbelo's strike 26 minutes in at the Estadio Son Moix, but Michael Pereira levelled just after the hour mark before Cameroon international Webo snatched a winner with five minutes remaining.

Mallorca replace Sevilla in seventh place while Levante, who have won just twice all season, continue to flirt with the relegation zone.

Uruguayan Curbelo found himself unmarked when he rose to connect with Javi Venta's right-wing cross, scoring his fourth goal in three games to put Levante in front.

Mallorca had chances to level through Jonathan De Guzman, who hit the bar, along with Pereira and Emilio Nsue, who had shots saved by Manuel in the Levante goal.

But the visitors held firm and retained the lead at half-time.

Victor Casadesus went close for Mallorca after the restart, while Rafa Jorda could have put Levante further in front before Nsue set-up Pereira for the equaliser.

The Frenchman collected a downward header from his fellow winger and beat a defender for pace before firing past the keeper.

Casadesus spurned another chance that would have given Mallorca the lead and Levante appeared to be heading for a valuable away point but for the intervention of second-half substitute Webo, who rose to head home a De Guzman corner and snatch victory with minutes remaining.
