Luis Enrique prepared for 'special' fixture

The 44-year-old spent a season in the Celta hot seat before assuming the Barca reins during the close-season and will be keen for a return to winning ways following a 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid last time out.

Barca remain at the Liga summit despite that loss, but Luis Enrique believes a victory over his former employers, who sit sixth in the table, will be far from straightforward.

"It is the most special game to prepare for," he said. "I've found it even stranger because I know many of the Celta players.

"I think they are a very dangerous outfit. I'm so glad they are having a great start to the season.

"I have many memories of my time at the Galician club. It is a great club with great values."

Luis Enrique does not expect his players to display a hangover from their loss against Real.

"No, not really. To be honest that hasn't affected us. We carried on training as usual and working as usual," he added.

" It is true that losing in El Clasico is hard to take ... but within a season you have many ups and downs and getting over your downs is part of the game and needed if you want to succeed.

"We don't think we are the best when we get a good run of results and we don't think we are really bad when happens otherwise.

"All we can do is try to keep a cold mind and carry on working and wait until the last stages of the season to see whether we can actually fight for any trophy."
