Aussie Cornthwaite started at the back for the Malaysian outfit but there was nothing he could do to stop the impressive Kane from continuing his hot-streak in front of goal.

Kane, who scored 21 goals during the recent Premier League season, grabbed a brace in a keenly-contested first half to ensure a Spurs win.

His first was a simple tap in from close range after Tom Carroll’s initial shot rebounded back off the post.

The home side equalised just after the half hour mark when Thiago Juninho pounced from a well-delivered free-kick.

But as he did so many times this EPL season, Kane produced for Mauricio Pochettino’s side when he was needed.

Carroll was again involved just before the break, finding Kane with a perfect pass and the English international finished with aplomb from just inside the box.

While he was unable to halt the man known as the ‘Hurri-kane’, it was still a memorable experience for Cornthwaite against the EPL side.

Tottenham will arrive in Sydney on today (Thurs) ahead of Saturday night’s clash with Hyundai A-League club Sydney FC on Saturday night.

Fans also have the chance to watch them at an open training session at ANZ Stadium on Friday afternoon from 4pm.
