Juric: Time for payback

Tomi Juric
The two nations played in the group stage and it was Uli Stielike’s men who came out on top, 1-0.
A momentary lapse in concentration at the back helped South Korea to the decisive goal in Brisbane.
Now, the Aussies are ready to wreak revenge in the biggest game of the tournament, says Juric, who is on the cusp of an Asian double having already won the Asian Champions League with his club Western Sydney Wanderers FC.
“I’s definitely something we won’t take lightly, this game,” he told reporters after the Socceroos’ 2-0 semi final win over UAE.
“Because of them beating us in the last round of the group stage. You know, we owe them a bit of payback.
“So we’re very positive and confident going into the next one [game] hopefully we can get the result that everyone would like to get.”
The enormity of qualifying for a continental finale for a second time this season hasn’t quite sunk in for the 23-year-old striker.
“It’s very special,” he said of the achievement.
“We worked really hard throughout the tournament to get to where we are now and it still hasn’t sunk in yet.
“But I’m sure the next couple of days we’ve got to rest and prepare and I’m sure it’ll sink in by then.
“Tonight I thought we didn’t maybe play the way we have been throughout the whole tournament but we got the job done, which is most important.
“And I’m positive going into the final we’ll play some good football.”
