J.League: Wilson earns Vegalta draw

J.League table-toppers Vegalta Sendai snatched a point in an exciting 2-2 draw against Jubilo Iwata on Saturday.

Vegalta entered the match on the back of four successive victories while their opponents had three wins and one draw from their season so far.

After a slow start, the match burst into life when Minoru Suganuma opening the scoring for Jubilo on 59 minutes.

The home crowd in Sendai were send into raptures when Kunimitsu Sekiguchi's equalised but Shuto Yamamoto produced a quick response to put Jubilo back in front.

Wilson's 95th-minute equaliser was cruel on Jubilo but ensured both sides would have to share the spoils.

Doubles to Hisato Sato and Ryuichi Hirashige helped Sanfrecce Hiroshima to a 4-1 win over Gamba Osaka that saw them leap to second, while Cerezo Osaka moved into fourth after a convincing 3-0 success at Omiya Ardija.

Nagoya Grampus and Shimizu S-Pulse both notched 1-0 victories against Vissel Kobe and Sagan Tosu respectively, and the Urawa Reds won 3-1 at Kashima Antlers.

Kashiwa Reysol also won on the road, defeating Consadole Sapporo 2-0, while Albirex Niigata and Yokohama F. Marinos played out a goalless draw.
