AZ Alkmaar kept pace with Dutch Eredivisie leaders PSV Eindhoven with a 2-0 victory at ADO Den Haag on Sunday.

AZ remain fifth on the table, five points behind PSV and on goal difference from Ajax in fourth, following their sixth match unbeaten in the Dutch league.

Sweden international Rasmus Elm put the visitors ahead from the penalty spot in the 40th minute, and Belgian midfielder Maarten Martens clinched the victory with a goal six minutes after the break.

ADO fall to eighth on the table following their second straight loss.

Meanwhile, Utrecht improved to seventh with a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Heerenveen.

Roy Beerens put Heerenveen ahead from the spot in the 24th minute, but Dries Mertens equalised 10 minutes later.

The match appeared headed for a draw until Utrecht defender Jan Wuytens nabbed an injury-time strike to snatch the three points from Heerenveen, who drop to ninth.

Feyenoord's woes continued with a 1-1 draw at lowly Willem II, brought about by an own goal to Feyenoord midfielder Ricky van Haaren in the 85th minute.

Surinamese defender Kelvin Leerdam had earlier put the visitors ahead with a 37th-minute strike.

Feyenoord rise to 14th with the point, while Willem remain at the foot of the table.

The clash between VVV Venlo and Roda JC was postponed after heavy rain made the pitch unplayable.
