Aussie defender cleared of match fixing

Bailey Wright
Wright, 21, was part of a group of six Preston players (one has since left the club) arrested by police following allegations they had been deliberately seeking to pick up yellow cards in matches.
They were released on bail and never charged with any offence, and the club has since been informed they are no longer under any suspicion.
"In April of this year a number of our players were very publicly arrested in connection with a wider investigation into 'spot fixing' in football," the club said in a statement.
"At the time, they were bailed with a date for answering bail subsequently set for Wednesday 30th July 2014.
"We have today been informed that all of our players have been released from bail and are no longer under any form of formal arrest procedure.
"There will be no further comment on this matter."
Wright was a surprise inclusion in Australia's World Cup squad, but did not appear for the Socceroos in Brazil and is yet to make his senior debut.
