Kayserispor winger and Australian international James Troisi has denied reports he will join A-League outfit the Newcastle Jets.
The midfielder has been involved in a pay dispute with his Turkish club and the 23-year-old said he had been in contact with Professional Footballers Australia, but only to receive advice from the players' body, not to discuss a move to the A-League.
"I've been in Turkey a while now and my main aim is to try and resolve the issues I'm facing," Troisi told The World Game.
"The bottom line is I haven't been paid for a while and the situation is hopefully going to be resolved."
"People are jumping the gun a bit on coming back home. I am still young and Australia really hasn't crossed my mind at all."
"I love playing for Australia and I feel I have been doing well for my club up to now."
Newcastle are in ninth position on the A-League ladder and have been looking to give their squad a boost with a big-name signing.
Coach Gary van Egmond has made it no secret he is looking to adopt a high-tempo style of play at the Jets, an approach Troisi has become accustomed to in the Super Lig.
Troisi went on to suggest that a move elsewhere in Europe was the most likely outcome of his current situation and, with the transfer window coming to a close, the midfielder will want to sort things out fast.
"It's really hard to see how this will play out," he said.
"If anything happens it will probably be at the last minute."
Troisi, who has been capped eight times for Australia, has scored five goals in 15 matches for Kayserispor so far this season.
