Schalke's Bundesliga title hopes suffered a blow as it could only manage a 2-2 draw away to Hamburg.

Schalke is a point behind leader Bayern Munich after it came from behind to lead only to see Hamburg peg it back late on.

Ruud van Nistelrooy put Hamburg ahead five minutes before half-time but Kevin Kuranyi and an Ivan Rakitic penalty put the visitors in charge. Substitute Jonathan Pitroipa earned the hosts a point with 13 minutes left.

Bottom side Hertha Berlin won 5-1 away to Wolfsburg with Theofanis Gekas scoring a hat-trick.

Gustavo Ramos also netted twice for Hertha, with Wolfsburg's consolation coming from Grafite.
