PSG maintain title charge

Paris Saint-Germain remain three points clear of Montpellier at the top of Ligue 1 after a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Evian on Saturday.

Visitors Evian took a shock lead at Parc des Princes when Cedric Cambon capitalised on lax defending to direct home the opener in first-half stoppage time.

PSG's response was swift, with Nene scoring two minutes after the restart.

The Brazilian added another through a 79th-minute penalty, before Kevin Gameiro sealed a fifth straight win for the Parisians 10 minutes later.

The victory saw Carlo Ancelotti maintain his 100 percent record after taking over as PSG manager in January.

PSG remain three points clear of nearest challengers Montpellier, who recorded a 1-0 over Brest thanks to Geoffrey Denis' 40th-minute goal.

Valenciennes claimed their first away win of the season as first-half goals from Renaud Cohade and Gael Danic set up a 2-1 win at Dijon, who found a stoppage-time consolation through Gregory Thil.

Nancy and Stade Rennes played out a scoreless draw at Stade Marcel Picot, and Ajaccio shared the spoils with Nice after substitute Esmael Goncalves' late equaliser cancelled out Eduardo's 57th-minute penalty, denying Ajaccio a fifth-straight win.

In the late kick-off, goals from Jussie and debutant Ludovic Obraniak gave Bordeaux a 2-0 home victory over Toulouse.

St Etienne's match with Lorient at Stade Geoffrey-Guichard was postponed due to adverse weather.
