Leicester hold Middlesbrough

Leicester City extended their unbeaten run to four matches after they held Middlesbrough to a 2-2 draw in the Championship on Wednesday.

Nigel Pearson's side entered the match in good form but welcomed a Middlesbrough side who had a chance to climb to fourth with a victory.

Things started well for Leicester when David Nugent opened the scoring after seven minutes, converting Richie Wellens' assist.

Australian forward Scott McDonald produced a quick equaliser for the visitors just 10 minutes later to ensure both sides went into the half-time break at 1-1.

Middlesbrough looked like ending a three-match winless run on the road when Anthony McMahon scored with just 11 minutes remaining.

But more late drama was to come at the King Power Stadium as Jermaine Beckford popped up with a dramatic 86th minute equaliser.

The goal was Beckford's sixth in his last four matches, with the other five coming in the FA Cup.
