Carlo Ancelotti's first Ligue 1 match in charge of Paris Saint-Germain ended in a 3-1 victory over Toulouse on Saturday.
The Italian, hired to replace Antoine Kombouare in December, opened his account at the first time of asking thanks to two goals from Nene and one from Javier Pastore at the Parc de Princes.
Brazilian forward Nene gave the home side the lead seven minutes before the break, with his shot deflected in off Toulouse defender Pavle Ninkov.
Argentine Pastore, a close-season acquisition from Palermo, made it 2-0 on 57 minutes.
The attacking midfielder arrived in the area to finish off a slick move between Jeremy Menez and Mohamed Sissoko.
Nene then grabbed his second in fine style on 68 minutes, using his chest to control the ball before advancing into the Toulouse box and placing a low strike beyond goalkeeper Ali Ahamada.
Daniel Braaten did pull a goal back for the visitors with two minutes remaining, but it proved to be no more than a consolation.
The win sees PSG remain three points clear at the top of the table, ahead of second-placed Montpellier, who kept pace thanks to a 1-0 win at home to Lyon.
Olivier Giroud struck the only goal of the game in the 62nd minute for high-flying Montpellier, beating the offside trap before sliding the ball beyond Lyon goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
In other matches, bottom side Ajaccio edged Auxerre 2-1 at home in a bad-tempered match that saw three players receive red cards.
Hosts Ajaccio came from behind thanks to goals from Eduardo and Fousseni Diawara, but also had Samuel Bouhours and Arnaud Maire sent off inside the first half.
Auxerre had led through Dennis Oliech's opener, but finished empty-handed and a man down following Anthony Le Tallec's dismissal on 23 minutes.
Elsewhere, early goals from Jussie and Nicolas Maurice-Belay helped Bordeaux see off 10-man Valenciennes 2-1.
Eden Ben Basat scored just six minutes in to help Brest defeat Nice 1-0.
Dijon overcame fellow promoted side Evian 3-1 at home, thanks to a second-half brace from Brice Jovial.
The visitors were a man down for the majority of the match after Eric Tie Bi received a red card just 20 minutes in.
Salif Sane struck with seven minutes to go as Nancy scrambled a 2-2 draw at home to Lorient.
And Kurt Zouma's goal proved the winner as St Etienne defeated Sochaux 1-0 at home.
