Russian top seed Maria Kirilenko has cruised into the second round of the Slovenia Open in Portoroz.

Kirilenko crushed Croatian qualifier Nika Ozegovic 6-1 6-1, and will meet Italian Roberta Vinci in the next round.

Second seed and local hope Katarina Srebotnik downed another Croatian Sanda Mamic 6-2 6-2.

The major casualty of the day was New Zealand sixth seed Marina Erakovic, who was eaten in three sets by Frenchwoman Camille Pin 7-5 5-7 6-3.

Eighth seed Sara Errani downed Italian compatriot Maria Elena Camerin 6-7 (4-7) 6-2 6-1.
