New South Wales has defeated West Coast 63-54 at the Challenge Stadium in Perth on Monday night.
The Fever got out of the blocks quicker than the visitors and raced away to a 19-13 lead at the first interval.
However, the Swifts replicated West Coast's first-quarter effort and scored 19 goals of their own in the second period to the hosts' nine and went into the major break 32-28 leaders.
The Fever found their rhythm again in the third quarter and were only outscored by NSW 17-16.
After the tight third period, NSW held on to a slender 49-44 lead and ensured the victory with a 14-10 final quarter.
