Carney a wee bit better off

Raiders star Todd Carney's odds of escaping the sack have increased slightly after a complaint against him urinating on a man at a Canberra nightclub was withdrawn on Wednesday afternoon.
ACT Police interviewed Carney before announcing the alleged victim had decided against taking the matter further.
Carney has been suspended indefinitely by the Raiders and is fighting to save his career after the latest in a series of off-field incidents.
His Canberra team-mate Bronx Goodwin, who was involved in a fight at the same nightclub, has been charged with two counts of assault and will appear in ACT magistrates court at a date to be fixed.
Canberra Raiders CEO Don Furner said both Goodwin and Carney would remain suspended by the club, pending an internal investigation by the Raiders.
"ACT policing has concluded their investigation in regards to the weekend's incidents and the Raiders will now begin deciding on a course of action internally," Furner said.
"At this stage both Bronx and Todd will remain suspended by the club and their futures will be decided following consultation with the Raiders board, coaching staff and playing group."
"The Raiders take the issue of off-field behavior very seriously and will assess the situation involving both Bronx and Todd before deciding on any further action."
