All those in attendance will hear countless stories about Bradman and what he meant to this country. Stories such as how he used to prime his skills by using a stump to hit a golf ball against a wall over and over again. About how Nelson Mandela's first words, when released from Robben Island, were 'is Don Bradman still alive?'.

One they won't hear will be Bradman's role in the creation of World Series cricket. But that story's for another time.
