The Australian men's hockey team heads to the Olympics on an anti-climactic note after recording a 2-2 draw with South Korea in the final clash of their three-match series in Cairns on Wednesday.
The Kookaburras had already claimed the series by winning the first two matches, rendering the final match a dead rubber.
The visitors bucked the early trend of the encounter by snatching a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute after Australia had dominated proceedings.
However, 10 minutes later Bevan George levelled things up for the hosts and in the 31st minute Fergus Kavanagh ensured that they'd be heading into the break with a 2-1 lead.
It appeared that Australia was headed for a clean sweep of the series but a last gasp South Korean goal meant that the match would end 2-2.
The Kookaburras fly out to Beijing on July 31.
