Tigers return to form

The Melbourne Tigers have rebounded strongly from their shock mid-week loss to Perth by posting a comprehensive 119-91 victory over the Adelaide 36ers at the State Netball and Hockey Centre on Saturday night.
A 32-16 opening quarter allowed the Tigers to skip away early and the 36ers failed to make any huge inroads from that point on as the home side cruised to victory.
After being held scoreless on Wednesday night, it was David Barlow who sparked the Tigers with a game-high 29 points, with 16 of those coming in the third quarter.
Barlow had plenty of help though, with Ebi Ere (18 points, eight assists) and Rod Grizzard (17 points, seven rebounds, five assists) just two of the seven Tigers' players scoring in double figures.
In an intriguing battle with Chris Anstey, big centre Luke Schenscher led the 36ers with 25 points, but Adam Ballinger (19) and Jacob Holmes (12) were the only others to score more than 10.
Meanwhile, the Sydney Spirit have recorded their second come-from-behind victory in as many nights defeating the Perth Wildcats 101-86 in a tense encounter at the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre on Saturday night.
Having trailed at every change, Rob Beveridge's men saved their best for last outscoring the visitors 33-15 in the final term to post their third consecutive victory.
Derrick Low was dangerous throughout dropping a game-high 25 points while fellow import Dave Gruber (16) came alive with 10 points in the final quarter to secure the win.
For the Wildcats, Ben Knight (20 points) refused to surrender while Stephen Weigh was also a strong contributor with 20 points.
