Wildcats coach Conner Henry is challenging his team to re-group after their disappointing 85-82 loss in Wollongong when they complete their testing road trip against the Sydney Spirit.
After knocking off the Melbourne Tigers on Wednesday, the Wildcats overcame a 15-point deficit against the Hawks and eventually led by ten in the fourth only to have the game slip away in the final moments.
''We've got to physically stand up for ourselves tomorrow, which I didn't think we did tonight,'' Henry said.
''They fought, did what they had to then weren't able to deliver the last blow or whatever cliché you want to give me.''
''They (Wollongong) completely dominated the game physically; (Anthony) Petrie and (Larry) Davidson came in and just pushed us around.''
Petrie was a sparkplug for the Hawks as the energetic forward posted 18 points (7-of-10) with four offensive boards in 25 minutes off the bench.
The bruising encounter with Wollongong took its toll on the already depleted Perth roster with Peter Crawford injuring his knee.
''Pete hurt his knee tonight, he's not going to play tomorrow (against the Spirit),'' Henry said.
''I don't know exactly what's wrong, the doctor's looking at him, we'll definitely rest him for tomorrow because we have a long haul.''
''Now we'll have to play even bigger, so that means Stephen (Weigh) is going to get more minutes at two (guard) and Darnell (Hinson) and (Adam) Caporn will have to lead us.''
''Look on that NBL health list, we're on there every week and there's a lot of good clubs that don't have anybody on there.''
Crawford was scoreless in 23 minutes before leaving the floor, but the Hawks also had a causality with Larry Davidson suffering a concussion early in the second quarter and was not able to return to the game.
