Ablett to miss blockbuster

Geelong superstar Gary Ablett has been ruled out of his side's blockbuster clash against Hawthorn on Friday night through injury.
Ablett injured his ankle against Fremantle a fortnight ago and was forced to watch from the sidelines as Geelong dismantled the Western Bulldogs by 61 points on Saturday, but was expected to return to the Cats' side this week.
Fellow midfielder Cameron Ling was unlikely to play after having surgery to repair a broken cheekbone suffered against Fremantle.
The club has listed him as being one to two weeks from resuming. Ling had been hopeful of making a miracle return against the Hawks.
Speedster David Wojcinski will require a fitness test later in the week to take his place in the side.
Young forward Tom Hawkins will be sidelined for another three weeks as he recovers from foot soreness.
He did not play in the Cats' 132-point drubbing against North Ballarat in the VFL on the weekend.
Hawkins has not played in the seniors since Round 10 after being dropped in favour of Tom Lonergan.
