Zimbabwe still looking for win - Chigumbura

Bangladesh ended Friday in Chittagong with a lead of 152 after Jubair Hossain's first Test five-for had limited the tourists to 374 all out.

Chigumbura was one of a handful of Zimbabwe batsman to take the fight to the hosts, his knock of 88 represented a career-best total and helped his side recover to keep the game competitive going into the final two days.

Sikandar Raza (82) and Hamilton Masakadza (81) also posted healthy scores to keep the Zimbabwe batsman interested should the attack make good progress on Friday.

"They are leading by 152 so far but it is up to us to come out hard and make sure we restrict them to a lesser score," Chigumbura said at the end of play.

"We want to keep them to something chaseable. It is going to be a big day for us tomorrow in the field.

"You can't play the game to try and have a draw after five days.

"We play every game to win. If we get a chance, we will go for it. Any Test match the wicket will change on day four and five. So we just have to manage that, work hard and hopefully we can win this game."

Chigumbura was naturally disappointed to have fallen so close to a maiden Test century, but instead looked at the positives, having failed to make more than 30 in his previous seven trips to the crease in the longest format.

"It is always disappointing but everyone wants to reach the milestone," he added.

"Such is cricket. You have to concentrate until you get it. For me, it was maybe a loose shot. But it was also good to get runs as well."
