Shane Warne expects Australia to make "a few changes" for the fourth Ashes Test next week after England took a 2-1 lead with an eight-wicket win at Edgbaston.

Ian Bell made 65 not out and Joe Root was unbeaten on 38 as England chased down their victory target of 121 to win the third Test inside three days on Friday.

Australia's lack of runs in the middle order proved costly once again, with Adam Voges out first ball in the second innings after only scoring 16 in his first knock in Birmingham to raise more questions over his position in the side.

Mitchell Starc made a half-century in the tourists' second innings, but was not at his best with the ball and the left-arm quick's place could also be under threat.

In addition, there has been talk of out-of-sorts captain Michael Clarke moving down to number five and Australia legend Warne expects a new-look side at Trent Bridge on Thursday.

The former leg-spinner told told Cricket Australia's website: "Everyone out of form is going to come under pressure. Everyone's spot will be under the microscope.

"When you've lost and you're down 2-1 in the series with a couple to play there will probably be a few changes.

"It's pretty disappointing, especially after they [Australia] played so well at Lord's.

"Got to bowl better, bat better, people have got to put their hands up and start making runs. England were too good and they outplayed Australia in all departments.

"Hopefully, the way this series is going they should win at Trent Bridge and we'll be two-all going into The Oval."
