Normally in the spotlight for his politically orientated hip-hop, Urthboy has released a rap single entitled “Nambucca Boy” commemorating the one-year anniversary of Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes’ passing.

The lyrics poignantly recall Hughes’ rise to the Australian test-side, the hardships he experienced when left out of the squad and the circumstances leading up to his tragic death as the result of a ball to the head.
The founding member of Australian rap group The Herd, Urthboy - whose real name is Tim Levinson - said he was compelled to write the song after driving past a lit up SCG following Hughes' death.
