South Africa to make changes

A 61-run triumph in Tuesday's second contest in Bulawayo wrapped up the series for the tourists and AB de Villiers confirmed afterwards that "there will definitely be a couple of changes here and there" for Thursday's dead-rubber clash.

The captain suggested that Hashim Amla would be rested ahead of the upcoming triangular series featuring Australia and Zimbabwe, with left-handed batsman Rilee Rossouw set to make his debut.

The 24-year-old impressed for South Africa 'A' when he scored 231 in the first innings of a four-day game against Australia 'A' earlier this month.

With overall victory already assured, the likes of Mthokozisi Shezi and Marchant de Lange will also be hoping to get a chance to show what they can do.

Zimbabwe, on the other hand, will have been encouraged that they managed to bowl out South Africa's much-vaunted batting line-up for the first time in an ODI since 1999, restricting them to 257 from 49.4 overs.

The world's 12th-ranked ODI team were left disappointed, though, when their top-order batsmen collapsed for the second game in a row.

After the match, Sean Williams, Zimbabwe's top run-scorer in the series with 106, pleaded with his leading batters to take more responsibility and place a higher value on their wickets.

"It's the second game I've come in the 12th over," Williams said.

"The guys are a little bit loose upfront. It is a little bit upsetting because we played against Pakistan, who to me have got a really serious bowling attack, and we batted really well against them. Those guys are serious bowlers.

"Now, against the South Africans, no disrespect to them, but the Pakistan attack are really good and on a wicket like this, I feel chasing 250 against the South Africans is a game that we can say we clearly lost ourselves.
