The Barbados native snared figures of 5-33 off 16 overs on day two in St Lucia, restricting the tourists to 104-7 after the Windies made 380 all out.

Earlier, an unbeaten 84 from stalwart Shivnarine Chanderpaul anchored the innings while there were also handy contributions from Jerome Taylor (40) and Sulieman Benn (25).

The Bangladeshis built some momentum with the ball when they snared three wickets in five balls - with Al-Amin Hossain (3-80) on a hat-trick - to have the Windies at 269-7 before their tail wagged.

Chanderpaul and Taylor combined for a 54-run stand, while Benn also contributed to a half-century partnership with the unbeaten veteran.

Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal (48) was the only batsman to hold his head up high in the top order, with none of his fellow top-five bats hitting double-figures as Roach and Taylor (2-33) ran riot.

The tourists went from 62-2 to 69-6 in less than eight overs, with pacemen Roach and Taylor nabbing two each in the collapse.

Taijul Islam (12) hit two boundaries but was Roach's fifth victim, leaving Mahmudullah (13) and Shafiul Islam (six) the not out batsmen overnight.

The pair have put on an unbeaten 15 so far, as they try to help Bangladesh avoid the follow-on.
