The charges related to a 2012 case in which Cairns stated that he "never, ever cheated at cricket" and allegedly tried to get former Black Cap Lou Vincent to provide a false trial.
As Cairns learned his fate he mouthed "thank you" to his jury.
Cairn's co-defendant, was also found not guilty of perverting the course of justice.
