Starc: Rogers fit for third Ashes Test

Chris Rogers should be fit to face England in the third Ashes Test this week, claims Australia team-mate Mitchell Starc.

Opening batsman Rogers was forced to retire hurt on the fourth morning of the second Test at Lord's after suffering dizzy spells, which were a delayed reaction from being struck in the head by James Anderson on the second morning.

The left-hander played no part in Australia's tour match against Derbyshire last week - in which potential replacement Shaun Marsh made a century - but Starc believes he will be okay to feature at Edgbaston after coming through a full net session on Monday.

"He seems to have come through pretty well," said Starc. "All reports are he is good to go.

"It [training] is full-tilt regardless who is at the other end, and we’re all preparing for a Test match. So if he runs at full-tilt and he gets through that then he's ready to go.

"So no-one is holding back at all, no matter who is at the other end."
