Mitch Johnson enjoys a smashing good time in Harare

Smashed Window
Batting in the second-last over of the first ODI clash in Harare, Johnson took to Zimbabwean bowler Tinashe Panyangara with a massive six that easily cleared the fence and ended up hitting the window, showering commentators Neil Manthorp and Pommie Mbangwa with glass.

Maybe Johnson’s shot was simply his means of protesting against this.

Johnson finished the innings unbeaten on 20 as Australia showed off their batting artillery ahead of next year’s World Cup in an innings where Glenn Maxwell (93 off 46 balls) and Mitchell Marsh (83 off 80) starred.

When Maxwell and Marsh teamed up, it was the cue for one of the greatest assaults seen by an Aussie batting combination as they bludgeoned 109 off 54 deliveries for the fourth wicket in what ended up a 198-run win as Zimbabwe was dismissed for 152.
