India targeted Johnson verbally on the third day of the second Test in Brisbane when the 33-year-old came out to bat but he responded brutally, blasting 88 off 93 deliveries to help Australia to a 97-run first innings lead.
After the match, India paceman Ishant Sharma was fined for using a "language or a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting", joining Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and David Warner among those sanctioned for sledging so far in the four-match series.
Asked if he thinks India will sledge him again during the Boxing Day Test, Johnson said: "I hope so - it seemed to work for me last time.
"If they come hard at me again, then that's great but, if they don't, I've just got to keep playing the way that I've been playing."
Johnson was critical to Australia's second win of the series with his four wickets in the second innings ripping through India's middle order.
Opening batsman Chris Rogers also produced a key performance, scoring 55 in both innings, including a vital half-century on day four that kept Australia together as they whittled down India's lead of 127 runs.
The Gabba Test was the first time in five matches Rogers had reached 50 with the 37-year-old returning to form having scored less than 10 in three of his previous four innings.
"It was good to be able to contribute," Rogers said on Tuesday.
"I felt a lot better at the crease and a bit of time out there helps.
"It was a better wicket for me and it was nice to be able to help Australia win."
