Jadeja hearing scheduled for Friday

Jadeja was found guilty of a level one offence following an altercation with England bowler James Anderson at lunch on the second day of the second Test at Trent Bridge earlier this month.

He was consequently fined half of his match fee - the maximum punishment available under that sanction.

The initial ICC ruling stated that the all-rounder had no right to appeal, but the game's governing body has since changed its stance and will now hear further submissions on the same day that Anderson's hearing takes place.

"After receiving legal submissions from the BCCI, it has accepted India's Ravindra Jadeja's request for an appeal against the recent decision by match referee, David Boon," read a statement on the ICC's website.

"The player was found guilty of an offence under Article 2.1.8 of the Code of Conduct and fined 50 per cent of his match fee.

"The appeal will be heard at the same time as the disciplinary hearing taking place in respect of the charge against James Anderson on Friday 1 August, in Southampton."

If found guilty, Anderson faces a ban of up to four Test matches.
